What LoveLaced collects

LoveLaced collects only the information needed to provide the app's core features.

Account information

Email address or Apple sign-in identifier, used for authentication.
User ID, created by our authentication provider so your account can be recognized securely.
Display name, timezone, onboarding answers/preferences such as distance mode and check-in frequency, setup state, and basic profile timestamps.

Couple and relationship information

Pairing codes, pairing requests, and couple membership, used to connect you with your partner.
Relationship start date and timezone, used for shared date calculations and widgets.
Important dates you choose to save, such as titles, dates, recurrence settings, emoji, icon, and color.

Private content you create

Love notes, love letters, daily question answers, and related timestamps.
Daily question state, such as whether each partner has answered and whether answers are ready to reveal.

Notifications and device information

Apple Push Notification service token, environment, active status, and recent delivery state, used to send notifications you allow.
Notification payloads may include notification type, route or record identifiers, streak counts, and your partner's display name. LoveLaced does not put note, answer, or letter text inside push notification payloads.

Support communications

If you contact us, we collect the email address and information you choose to include, such as device model, iOS version, screenshots, issue details, and account identifiers needed to help you.

Technical and service data

IP address, request metadata, authentication/session events, error messages, and service logs processed by LoveLaced, Supabase, hosting/CDN providers, and font providers to secure, operate, debug, serve, and prevent abuse of the app and website.

Local widget data

If you use LoveLaced widgets, the app may store a small snapshot on your device in the iOS App Group so widgets can display current app state. Depending on the widget, this can include partner name, relationship timing, unread counts, important-date metadata, and the latest partner love-note preview. This snapshot is stored locally on your device for widget functionality.

How LoveLaced uses information

To create and secure your account.
To pair you with your partner and keep your shared space in sync.
To show love notes, love letters, daily questions, important dates, widgets, and relationship timing.
To send optional push notifications for app activity.
To provide support, troubleshoot issues, prevent abuse, and maintain the service.

LoveLaced does not sell your personal information.

What LoveLaced does not do

LoveLaced does not show third-party ads or sponsored placements.
LoveLaced does not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
LoveLaced does not make your couple content public.
LoveLaced does not use your private notes, letters, or answers for advertising.

Who can see your information

Your private couple content is intended for you and your paired partner. LoveLaced uses service providers to operate the app and website, including Supabase for authentication, database, realtime sync, edge functions, and related infrastructure; Apple for Sign in with Apple and push notifications; and hosting/CDN and font providers for the website. These providers process information only as needed to provide their services.

We may also access limited account or technical information when needed to respond to support requests, investigate bugs, protect the service, comply with law, or enforce safety and security requirements.

Retention and deletion

LoveLaced keeps account and app data while your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You can delete your account from inside the app. Account deletion deletes your LoveLaced account, profile, device registrations, pairing requests involving you, and notes, letters, and daily-question answers authored by your account. If you are paired, deletion disconnects your partner and deactivates the shared couple space.

Shared couple history may remain in inactive backend records unless the couple is unpaired first. The in-app Unpair from Partner action permanently deletes shared notes, questions, dates, and letters for both partners. Deletion is subject to limited retention for backups, security, fraud prevention, legal obligations, or service logs.

You can also sign out, turn off notifications in iOS Settings, or contact support for help.

Security

LoveLaced uses authentication, row-level database access controls, HTTPS, and platform security features to protect app data. No online service can guarantee perfect security, but the app is built to keep couple data private by default.

Children

LoveLaced is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to LoveLaced, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

International processing

LoveLaced and its service providers may process information in countries other than where you live. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for that processing.
